VFX-WR 06 - Evolution of an Icon
Professional Off-Road Helmet
With the VFX-WR 06, SHOEI pushes the radical design and construction of its predecessor even further. State-of-the-art shell construction technology enables the creation of a highly stable yet lightweight helmet shell with a futuristic and aggressive look. Continuous contours from the visor across the helmet shell to the back of the head ensure shell stability, perfect goggle strap guidance, and an unparalleled look. The new integrated safety system, M.E.D.S. (Motion Energy Distribution System), provides optimal reduction of rotational energy in the event of a crash.
Safety
A 6-layer composite of fiberglass, organic fibers, and high-performance fiber materials forms the basis of the AIM+ (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus) outer shell of the SHOEI VFX-WR 06. Combined with a polystyrene core system composed of several elements with varying absorption capabilities and the new Motion Energy Distribution System (M.E.D.S), the helmet shell offers optimal impact protection while maintaining a relatively low overall weight. The multi-part EPS core of the SHOEI VFX-WR 06, with flexibly connected inner shell elements, reduces the risk of injury by minimizing rotational energy in the event of an impact. The chin strap with double D-ring closure is easily adjustable and keeps the helmet securely in place. The EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System) facilitates the removal of the cheek pads in an emergency, allowing for gentle helmet removal.
ECE 22.06 Motorcycle Helmet Safety Standard: What You Need to Know
Our new motorcycle helmets meet the stringent requirements of the ECE 22.06 standard, now ensuring even greater safety. This updated standard includes more rigorous testing procedures to ensure that helmets provide optimal protection even in more severe impacts. New tests to reduce rotational forces and extended test zones on the helmet have been introduced. Additionally, modular helmets must meet safety requirements in both closed and open configurations. Visors and accessories are now also subject to stricter regulations to ensure maximum safety. Trust helmets that comply with the latest safety standards and enhance your protection in every situation. The SHOEI VFX-WR 06 meets the requirements of this new motorcycle helmet testing standard.
Comfort
With 4 different outer shell sizes (XS-S | M | L | XL-XXL), the SHOEI VFX-WR 06 offers a wide size range for adult and youth riders, providing the optimal mix of minimal helmet weight and maximum stability. Its mass centralization noticeably relieves neck muscles, allowing for focused and fatigue-free riding, even on the edge, over many laps on the motocross track. The headliner, contoured for highly effective ventilation, and the three-dimensionally pre-formed cheek pads with their quick-drying and skin-friendly Max-Dry covers, as well as the chin strap pad, are fully removable and washable. For individual adjustment, the SHOEI VFX-WR 06 offers headliners and cheek pads in different thicknesses.
Ventilation
With 7 intake vents, the rider receives ample fresh air for peak performance. 8 exhaust vents expel used air. The large nose cover of the SHOEI VFX-WR 06 is equipped with a metal grille and a replaceable filter insert to prevent dust, dirt, and stones from entering.
Aerodynamics
The radically designed, three-dimensionally shaped outer shell of the SHOEI VFX-WR 06 is highly form-stable thanks to its rib structure and offers reliable goggle strap guidance. The seamlessly integrated visor matches the shell's ventilation openings.
Accessories
The SHOEI accessory range includes cheek pads and headliners in different sizes and thicknesses for replacing the original pads or customizing the helmet fit. Additionally, chin strap pads, a mud guard, an anti-reflective sticker, visor screws, and filter inserts for the mouthpiece are available. With visors and mouthpieces in a variety of colors and designs, the SHOEI VFX-WR 06 can be customized to suit individual preferences.
